Lundbeckfonden's stipends for sabbatical leave for research in biomedical sciences
Lundbeckfonden awards stipends for sabbatical leave for Danish-based researchers in clinical, translational and basic biomedical sciences with a minimum 5-year tenure at the same Danish university, university hospital or other research institution as associate professor, consultant, senior researcher or professor. The aim of the stipend is to ensure that research directors are able to focus fully on their research during a consecutive period of secondment at a foreign institution.
Lundbeckfonden funds each stipend with a maximum of DKK 500,000. The secondment abroad must be for a duration of two to six months. Secondments of shorter or longer duration will not be subsidised.
The application must include a description of the applicant's scientific qualifications, including a CV and list of publications, a research plan for the secondment abroad, a budget and a statement explaining how the sabbatical may help strengthen the research at the applicant's Danish institution/department. The applicant must be able to be released from his or her duties (teaching, clinic, laboratory work, etc., but not PhD supervision) during the period. The application must include a statement by the applicant's superior on the terms of the sabbatical leave and an acceptance by the institution to be visited.
Applications can be submitted through the Foundation's application system.
Applications will be processed within 3-4 weeks.
