Lundbeckfonden BioCapital is looking for a new Venture Associate

We are looking for a Venture Associate to join Lundbeckfonden BioCapital, our unit for biotech investments. We seek to boost our investments in Danish biotech and the new role will support our investment activities comprising new investments and our existing portfolio of 20 companies.

You will;

• Drive due diligence on new investments, prepare analyses and presentations to support investment decisions and liaise with biotech companies as well as professionals from academia, incubators and other VC funds.
• Track and report the equity stakes, value of portfolio (private and public) and prepare analyses and reports on portfolio companies, portfolio performance and portfolio strategy.
• Join a team of 7 venture professionals, that manages the existing portfolio of companies and identifies, analyses and invest into new biotech companies.

We expect you to have:

• A Master’s degree in a relevant scientific area such as medical science, pharmacology, chemistry, engineering (or similar), ideally combined with a PhD degree.   

• Experience from academic research, management consulting, life science venture capital and/or from the pharma/biotech industry.
• A strong analytical mindset and the creative curiosity and ability, which enable you to spot new scientific, industry and market trends within diverse data sets.
