Peter Thostrup

Peter is responsible for the Lundbeck Foundation’s grants and prizes in open competition.
Peter joined the Lundbeck Foundation in June 2021. Before Peter started working in philanthropic foundations, he worked for 12 years at Aarhus University and as a postdoc at McGill University, Montreal. From 2016 to 2021, he served as Head of Secretariat at the Carlsberg Foundation. Peter thus has experience from both the fundee and funder side of the research-funding process.
Peter holds a MSc and a PhD in Physics from Aarhus University. During his postdoc, he worked within neurobiology.
