Associate professor Katharina Lahl’s project will investigate whether early-life viral pulmonary infection has a long-lasting impact on the neuronal network of the lung, causing or affecting the severity of pulmonary pathology later in life.
Her aim is among other to dissect which role the neuroinflammatory and neuroimmune interactions play in pulmonary disease.
She has received a Lundbeck Foundation Ascending Investigator research grant of DKK 5,098,997.
