The Lundbeck Foundation is extending and expanding its management team with a strong profile in strategic ownerships. Arne Due-Hansen will play a key role in developing the Foundation’s holdings and seeking new investment opportunities.

The Lundbeck Foundation is bringing Arne Due-Hansen on board in a new position as Senior Vice President, Strategic Ownerships. He will also join the Foundation’s management team.

Arne Due-Hansen has broad experience in the banking world, most recently at Danske Bank, where he has been a senior advisor in large strategic mergers and acquisitions, M&A, for many years. He will take on a key role at the Foundation, helping to strengthen its entire strategic ownership area, as well as supporting the international development of the Foundation’s holdings and helping to seek out and identify new strategic investment opportunities in the healthcare sector.

Arne Due-Hansen also looks forward to contributing sparring on the increased value creation in the Lundbeck Foundation’s strategic holdings, Falck, ALK and Lundbeck.

“The Lundbeck Foundation owns some of Denmark’s biggest healthcare companies – companies that are comparable with the best in the world. At the same time, the Foundation has a sharp focus on creating more healthcare successes in Denmark, both as a long-term owner and through direct investments in Danish biotech start-ups with large and exciting potential. I am looking forward to joining an already strong team, which is already well equipped thanks to the great efforts led by my new colleague, Morten Jarlstrup,” says Arne Due-Hansen.

With the enlistment of Arne Due-Hansen, the Lundbeck Foundation is strengthening and adapting the organisation in line with the Foundation’s 2030 Strategy, which was launched at the end of 2020.

“The Foundation has grown and our level of ambition is high. We are therefore delighted to welcome Arne Due-Hansen, who, with his strong skills and broad experience in acquisitions and investments from the financial sector, will play a key role in the implementation of our 2030 Strategy in developing the Foundation’s portfolio of strategic holdings and investments,” says Lene Skole, CEO of the Lundbeck Foundation.

Arne Due-Hansen graduated from Copenhagen Business School in 1986 with an MSc in Finance & Accounting, and has had a long career in analysis and strategic investments. In addition to his work at Danske Bank (2014-2022), he also has a track record as Head of Corporate Finance at SEB (1997-2013).
