Change in Lundbeck Foundation's leadership team
Lundbeck Foundation’s Director of Public Affairs, Communication, Sustainability, and Strategy, Inge Berneke, is leaving the foundation. A process has been initiated to realign the organisation.
After five years at Lundbeck Foundation, Inge Berneke, SVP Corporate Affairs, has decided to seek new challenges outside the foundation. She will be leaving Lundbeck Foundation at the end of August 2024.
Inge Berneke joined Lundbeck Foundation in 2019 in a newly created position and has, over the past five years, supported CEO Lene Skole in formulating and executing the foundation’s 2030 strategy and developing the organisation.
As part of the foundation's leadership team, Inge has been responsible for several key functions, including public affairs, communication, sustainability, strategy, and HR. Furthermore, she has in parallel managed important tasks related to the foundation’s portfolio companies.
“Inge has played a crucial role in Lundbeck Foundation’s development over the past five years and has been a key figure in the leadership team. I have greatly valued working with her and am therefore saddened that we must now say goodbye. Fortunately, during Inge’s tenure, we have significantly developed the organisation and brought on new talent to continue the good work,” says Lene Skole, continuing:
“The foundation has high ambitions and aims to act openly and in close collaboration with our surroundings. This calls for ongoing adjustments to our organisation, and we will be launching new initiatives throughout 2024 and beyond that align with our strategy and activities. In this process, we will miss Inge’s engagement and contributions to the leadership, but I respect her decision and wish her all the best for the future.”
A process has been initiated to realign the organisation and find the right successor for Inge. Over the summer, she will assist in completing and transferring a number of ongoing tasks and projects before her departure at the latest by the end of August.
